The map and the results under it for the searches that bring work: your service plus your town, or “near me.”
I build websites and run SEO for security firms, MSSPs and consultants who want buyers to find them in search. I'm based in Macomb County and work with companies across Michigan and beyond.
What you get
You’re hiring someone who has done this for other businesses, not read about it. Thirteen SEO contracts on Upwork since 2016, from audits and setups for Eric W. and Nadia C. to ongoing work for Just Digital, Digital Concierge and Kenedy T., plus the local SEO I run for Captain Hook’s in the Florida Keys. The contracts are on my Upwork profile.
The map and the results under it for the searches that bring work: your service plus your town, or “near me.”
Rankings, Maps visibility, calls and form leads in one report, next to what I worked on and what is next.
Month to month, no lock-in. If the work is not paying for itself, you can end it.
From $2,000 per month
The price depends on how many locations and services you have, how much content you need, and how crowded your market is. You get a written, fixed quote after a free consultation. No contract lock-in.
Most security company sites lead with fear and a hero image of a glowing padlock. Buyers skip past that. They search for the thing they need:
Each of these needs its own page. One “Services” page with eight bullet points can’t rank for eight different services.
A security deal often involves an IT manager, a CFO and an owner, and the site has to serve all three over a long sales cycle. Service pages that say what’s included, who it’s for, how long it runs and what the client gets at the end, with a sample deliverable if you can share one. Compliance pages for each framework you support, written for the person who just got the audit letter. An about page with names: who’s on the team, what certifications they hold, how long you’ve done this, because buyers want to know who will have access to their systems. And a clear next step, a short form or a call booking link. Security buyers don’t want a chatbot.
Only the ones you can back up. Security buyers read closely, and some of them check. Be precise about what you hold and what your staff hold. If you say you help with SOC 2, say whether you do readiness work, or whether you are the auditor. No client logo goes on the site without written permission. I interview your team, draft the page, and leave anything I’m unsure about for your engineers to confirm before it goes live.
A security company with an expired certificate, a site running outdated plugins or a contact form with no spam protection loses credibility with the exact people it wants to hire it. Buyers in your field notice. I build sites that are fast, kept up to date and lean on as few plugins as possible, with schema markup and a clean structure, and I set up redirects when you move from an old site so you keep the rankings you’ve earned. If you’d rather not handle updates yourself, my website management plan is $99 a month.
An hour or two with the people who do the work, so I can write service pages from how you actually run an engagement rather than from a brochure. A list of the frameworks you support and what you do for each. Your team’s certifications as they’d want them stated. A reviewer who will check every technical claim before a page goes live. And the questions prospects ask on sales calls, because those become the articles buyers research. I write those at $150 each through my content writing service.
Plenty of security work is sold locally, especially to small businesses, municipalities, schools and healthcare offices. A Google Business Profile helps there.
My Google Business Profile optimization is $400 one time. If you’re in the Detroit area, my Detroit SEO page covers that market.

How it works
Your site, your profile and the businesses above you, written up in the order I will fix things.
Titles, page structure, speed, schema, redirects, duplicate listings and citation errors.
Service and town pages, articles for what customers search, profile posts, local links and a simple way to ask for reviews.
Rankings, Maps visibility, calls and leads, plus what I did and why.

Who you'd work with
I'm Ryan York, and WebPossible is a one-person web design and SEO company in Harrison Township, Macomb County. I learned the work as a scuba diver in the Florida Keys, tired of waiting on the person who ran our website, which is why I think about the phone ringing first and the design second. There's no team to hand you off to. The person who answers your first call is the person who designs your website, builds it and checks your rankings.
Reviews
5.0 stars from 30 Google reviews, 5.0 from 5 verified Clutch reviews, and 83 client reviews on Upwork since 2016. 6 of the 13 I quote in full, with the source linked.
I hired Ryan to help improve the SEO of my business website and he has been so easy to work with from the time I submitted my inquiry through the finishing touches. He is extremely responsive, organized in his approach, and thoughtful in his execution. I had many questions that I threw at Ryan, and he was able to answer them all, which made me feel really good about the entire process. Since the initial work started, I have added on more page updates because I am already seeing positive results. I look forward to continuing to work with Ryan and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to other business owners that I know!
Communication is key, and that's his strong suit.
Ryan was phenomenal to work with! He asked great questions, understood our project, and delivered without issue and right on schedule. I definitely will re-hire and recommend him.
I have used Ryan for many years and on many client websites, he has always been responsive, efficient and been great to work with. With his expertise, he has been able to facilitate creating websites I am proud of, and I have always been able to count on him. I trust him completely and have recommended him to my past clients for ongoing work.
Ryan was a perfect fit. He's my first call if I ever need any help establishing or increasing my online footprint.
Ryan had excellent attention to detail and delivered with quality and speed when necessary.
FAQ
A Google Business Profile with an accurate category and a real address, a website that names the city and region you serve, and reviews from clients who are willing to leave one. Local intent matters more in security than people expect, because many small and mid-size buyers want a provider they can reach easily.
Write anonymized case summaries by industry and size, like "a 40-person manufacturer" or "a regional credit union," with the problem and what you did. Get each client's approval first. Certifications your staff hold and the frameworks you work with also count as proof.
Well enough to organize it and write it clearly, and not enough to be your subject expert. I interview your team, draft the page, and your engineers check every technical claim before it goes live.
If your site is slow, hard to update, or says "solutions" on every page without naming a service, start with the site. Websites start at $2,500. If the site is solid, SEO starts at $2,000 a month.
No. SEO is month to month. Your domain, site and Google Business Profile stay in your name.
