What you get

What a new website should do for your business

Your site won’t be my first. Since 2016 I’ve delivered 154 Upwork jobs for more than 100 clients, and 94 of them were WordPress and Divi websites: new builds, redesigns and rebuilds for NewtonX, Keller Williams Realty Consultants, the Institute of Reading Development, the World Food Travel Association, Website HQ and Arlene P., among others. Every one is listed on my Upwork profile.

More calls from people searching nearby

A page for each service and each town you serve, schema markup, and your Google Business Profile connected, so the site shows up when neighbors search.

A price you know before work starts

A written, fixed quote after a free consultation. Sites start at $2,500 and the number does not creep once we agree on it.

One person, start to finish

I design it, build it, write it and launch it. When you call with a question, you reach the person who made the last change.

Website design

From $2,500 one-time

A five-page site for a service business sits near that number. More pages, copywriting, booking or a store add to it. You get a written, fixed quote after a free consultation. No contract lock-in.

Who’s searching in Harrison Township, and what they want to see

Harrison Township is about 24,300 people (24,314 in the 2020 census) on the northwest shore of Lake St. Clair. Forty percent of the township’s 23.76 square miles is water, and the Clinton River reaches the lake here. That geography decides who your customers are and how they look for you.

There are three groups I see over and over:

  • Boaters. The township is known as Boat Town, and in 2023 a Michigan House bill was introduced to make “Boat Town USA” its official designation. Jefferson Avenue is lined with marinas, including Keenan Marina, Beacon Cove and Harbor Club North. Their customers come from all over metro Detroit, and a lot of them have never heard of you until they search for a marina, a mechanic or a canvas shop.
  • People here because of Selfridge. Selfridge Air National Guard Base, first built in 1917, takes up a large part of the north end of the township. People who are new to the area because of the base need a dentist, a daycare, a contractor and a place to eat, and they don’t know anyone to ask.
  • Homeowners. Lakefront neighborhoods like Lakeside and St. Clair Haven keep contractors and home service companies busy. You’re competing for those jobs with companies from St. Clair Shores, Chesterfield and Clinton Township.

Two things about Harrison Township that change how I build

Why does it matter that people type the name so many ways?

Harrison Township, Harrison Twp and Harrison Charter Township are all the same place, and people search for all three. Marina directories list businesses here as “Harrison Twp.” Everyone in the township shares ZIP code 48045, so that ZIP is a useful anchor.

A good local site ties all of those versions to your business through your Google Business Profile, your page titles and your directory listings, without stuffing the variations into your copy. The page itself says Harrison Township once, plainly, in the first line. The profile and the listings carry the rest, and the schema markup on the site gives Google the address and the ZIP so it can connect a search for “Harrison Twp” to you without guessing. That matters more here than in most towns, because the boater searching from across metro Detroit has no idea which spelling is right and will type whatever the directory showed them.

Why does boating season change the timing of a launch?

Boating businesses here live on a short season. That means your site has to be ready before spring, with this year’s rates, launch and haul-out information and hours, and not last year’s PDF. I build sites so you or I can update those details in minutes. If you’d rather never touch it, my website management plan is $99 a month and covers updates, backups and security.

I know this market firsthand because I built Experience Boat Town, a boating guide to Lake St. Clair and Harrison Township, from scratch. That project taught me how boaters search for marinas, launches and lakeside restaurants here, and which details they look for before they pick up the phone.

  • A homepage that says what you do and that you’re in Harrison Township, in the first line
  • Click-to-call, a short quote form, and directions that work for people coming by car off I-94 or M-59 and, for marinas, by water
  • A Google Business Profile that matches your site exactly
  • Pages for each service, plus the nearby areas you serve, like Mount Clemens, Chesterfield and Clinton Township
  • Fast pages that load on a phone with one bar of signal at the end of a dock

A marina site with slip rates, storage options, a service menu and seasonal updates usually needs more pages than a five-page contractor site, and online payments or booking add to it. The pricing guides break down what drives the cost by industry.

I live and work here, so I know where the marinas are and how much of the north end of the township Selfridge takes up. You won’t have to explain your market. If you already have a site and need it to rank, my local SEO service starts at $2,000 a month, month to month with no lock-in.

How it works

How a website project runs, from the first call to launch

  1. 01

    Discovery

A short questionnaire, then a call about your customers, your competitors and what a good month looks like.

  2. 02

    Design

I design the homepage first. You approve the direction before I build the rest.

  3. 03

    Build and launch

Every page built and tested on real phones. Every old page redirected, so the rankings you have carry over.

  4. 04

    After launch

I stay around for questions and changes. If you want updates handled for you, that is my management plan.

Who you'd work with

The web designer and local SEO consultant you'll actually talk to

I'm Ryan York, and WebPossible is a one-person web design and SEO company in Harrison Township, Macomb County. I learned the work as a scuba diver in the Florida Keys, tired of waiting on the person who ran our website, which is why I think about the phone ringing first and the design second. There's no team to hand you off to. The person who answers your first call is the person who designs your website, builds it and checks your rankings.

I hired Ryan to help improve the SEO of my business website and he has been so easy to work with from the time I submitted my inquiry through the finishing touches. He is extremely responsive, organized in his approach, and thoughtful in his execution. I had many questions that I threw at Ryan, and he was able to answer them all, which made me feel really good about the entire process. Since the initial work started, I have added on more page updates because I am already seeing positive results. I look forward to continuing to work with Ryan and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to other business owners that I know!

FAQ

Questions from Harrison Township business owners

You're in Harrison Township too. Do we meet in person?

No. All my projects run by phone, video call and email, including the ones a mile from me. Screen sharing lets me walk you through designs and edits as they happen, and you get a written record of every decision.

How much does a website cost for a Harrison Township business?

My sites start at $2,500. A simple site for a marina, contractor or service business sits near that number. More pages, copywriting, booking or online payments add to it. You get a fixed written quote before I start.

I run a marina or boat service. What should the site include?

The questions boaters ask before they call. Slip and storage options, what services you do in your yard, fuel and pump-out if you have them, seasonal hours, and how to reach you from the lake and from Jefferson. Put prices on the page where you can.

Should my site mention Selfridge?

If you serve people who work on the base or are moving to the area because of it, yes. Say which parts of the township and which nearby towns you cover. Someone new to the area can't tell the township from the towns around it.

Can you also help me show up in Google Maps?

Yes. Maps rankings depend mostly on your Google Business Profile, backed by a website that agrees with it. My Google Business Profile optimization is $400 one-time, and I can set it up alongside the new site.
