What you get

What local SEO should do for your business

You’re hiring someone who has done this for other businesses, not read about it. Thirteen SEO contracts on Upwork since 2016, from audits and setups for Eric W. and Nadia C. to ongoing work for Just Digital, Digital Concierge and Kenedy T., plus the local SEO I run for Captain Hook’s in the Florida Keys. The contracts are on my Upwork profile.

Show up where neighbors are looking

The map and the results under it for the searches that bring work: your service plus your town, or “near me.”

See what moved, every month

Rankings, Maps visibility, calls and form leads in one report, next to what I worked on and what is next.

Stop if it stops paying

Month to month, no lock-in. If the work is not paying for itself, you can end it.

Local SEO

From $2,000 per month

The price depends on how many locations and services you have, how much content you need, and how crowded your market is. You get a written, fixed quote after a free consultation. No contract lock-in.

Saginaw is bigger than the city limits

The city of Saginaw had 44,202 people in the 2020 census. The county had 190,124, and the Tri-Cities region of Saginaw, Midland and Bay City had 377,474. Customers move across those lines without thinking about it, and so does Google. An SEO company that builds you one “Saginaw” page and calls it done has missed most of your market.

That shows up in search in a few ways:

  • Saginaw Township’s Bay Road. The main shopping district sits along Bay Road in Saginaw Township, which borders the city but is its own government. Plenty of businesses there are known as “Saginaw” businesses. Customers search for “Saginaw,” and your listings have to handle both names cleanly.
  • Buena Vista Township. The old Saginaw Steering Gear complex, sold to Nexteer in 2010, is in Buena Vista Township. Suppliers and service businesses that work with manufacturers there get searched as Saginaw companies too.
  • University Center. Saginaw Valley State University and Delta College are both in University Center, between Saginaw and Bay City. Student and staff searches come from there.

A good plan for a Saginaw business starts by deciding which of these areas you really serve, then building pages and profile details for those.

What to settle before you hire an SEO company in Saginaw

How do you fix listings when the city, the township and the county are all named Saginaw?

Your name, address and phone number need to be the same on your site, Google, Apple Maps, Yelp and the directories in your trade. With a city, a township and a county all named Saginaw, mix-ups are easy to make: one directory lists Saginaw Township, another lists Saginaw, a third has an old suite number. Google sees three slightly different businesses and trusts none of them fully. I pull every listing, correct it to match your profile exactly, and close the duplicates. The address on the profile is the one everything else follows.

Should I have pages for Saginaw Township, Midland and Bay City?

If you serve them, yes, as long as each page shows the work you do there. A page that swaps the town name onto the same text won’t rank and won’t convince anyone. Pages that name the jobs, the streets and the neighborhoods you’ve worked in do both. In regular search results those pages can reach across the Tri-Cities. In Maps, distance still rules, so I’ll tell you how far your profile is likely to reach before you pay for pages that can’t.

What will I see each month?

Maps rankings checked from points across the city, the township and the wider area, so you can see where your reach stops. Search rankings, calls from the profile and the site, and form leads, with the previous month beside them. Then what I worked on and why, and what’s next. If something went down, it’s in the report with my read on why.

What do you need from me?

Manager access to your Google Business Profile. Your address exactly as it appears on your mail. Photos of real work, real vehicles and real people. A list of the areas you actually serve, not the ones you’d like to. A few minutes a month to ask happy customers for a review with a link I give you. And answers to a short list of questions when I write a page.

Neighborhood searches inside the city

Inside the city, the river splits the market. Downtown is on the east side. Old Town is on the west side, about a mile southwest, and part of it, Old Saginaw City, is a 12-block district on the National Register of Historic Places near the Court Street Bridge and Hamilton Street. Old Town has its own restaurants and bars, and new businesses keep opening there. WNEM reported three new ones and new housing coming in 2026.

People search “Old Town Saginaw restaurants” and similar phrases by name. If you’re there, your site and your profile should say so plainly.

Downtown has its own draws. The Temple Theatre is home to the Saginaw Bay Symphony Orchestra. The Dow Event Center hosts the Saginaw Spirit hockey team. The Japanese Cultural Center, with its tea house and garden, comes from Saginaw’s sister-city tie with Tokushima, Japan. Event nights mean searches for dinner and parking nearby, and businesses that mention the venues and keep their hours current catch them.

Covenant HealthCare describes itself as Saginaw County’s largest employer. A big hospital system brings searches from patients, families and staff, and from the clinics, therapists, pharmacies and home-care companies around it. Those are competitive searches with real money behind them. Ranking for them takes more than a profile. It takes service pages that answer the questions patients and families ask, and reviews that show you’re trusted.

I’m in Harrison Township, about two hours from Saginaw by car, and the work runs by phone, video call and email.

Who you'd work with

The web designer and local SEO consultant you'll actually talk to

I'm Ryan York, and WebPossible is a one-person web design and SEO company in Harrison Township, Macomb County. I learned the work as a scuba diver in the Florida Keys, tired of waiting on the person who ran our website, which is why I think about the phone ringing first and the design second. There's no team to hand you off to. The person who answers your first call is the person who designs your website, builds it and checks your rankings.

I hired Ryan to help improve the SEO of my business website and he has been so easy to work with from the time I submitted my inquiry through the finishing touches. He is extremely responsive, organized in his approach, and thoughtful in his execution. I had many questions that I threw at Ryan, and he was able to answer them all, which made me feel really good about the entire process. Since the initial work started, I have added on more page updates because I am already seeing positive results. I look forward to continuing to work with Ryan and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to other business owners that I know!

FAQ

Questions from Saginaw business owners

My business is on Bay Road in Saginaw Township. Should my site say Saginaw or Saginaw Township?

Use the address exactly as it appears on your Google Business Profile and your mail, everywhere. Then mention both names in your page copy where it's natural, because customers search both. What matters to Google is that the details match from site to site.

Can a Saginaw business rank in Midland and Bay City too?

In regular search results, yes, with pages that cover those areas properly. Google Maps is harder, because it favors businesses close to the searcher. I'll tell you how far your Maps reach is likely to go from your address.

How much does SEO cost for a Saginaw business?

My local SEO starts at $2,000 a month. One location in one town sits near that number. Covering the wider Tri-Cities with more pages and content raises it. You get a fixed written quote, and it's month to month.

Do you work with Saginaw businesses in person?

No. The work runs by phone, video call and email. I'm about two hours away in Harrison Township, and nothing in local SEO needs me on site.
