What you get

What a new website should do for your business

Your site won’t be my first. Since 2016 I’ve delivered 154 Upwork jobs for more than 100 clients, and 94 of them were WordPress and Divi websites: new builds, redesigns and rebuilds for NewtonX, Keller Williams Realty Consultants, the Institute of Reading Development, the World Food Travel Association, Website HQ and Arlene P., among others. Every one is listed on my Upwork profile.

More calls from people searching nearby

A page for each service and each town you serve, schema markup, and your Google Business Profile connected, so the site shows up when neighbors search.

A price you know before work starts

A written, fixed quote after a free consultation. Sites start at $2,500 and the number does not creep once we agree on it.

One person, start to finish

I design it, build it, write it and launch it. When you call with a question, you reach the person who made the last change.

Who’s searching in Mount Clemens, and what they want to see

Mount Clemens is small. The 2020 census counted about 15,700 people. But it pulls in far more than that, because it has been the Macomb County seat since 1818. On any weekday, people drive in from all over a county of 881,000 for the Circuit Court on North Main Street, the county offices and the businesses around them. A lot of them search on their phone after they park.

That shapes who’s searching for what:

  • Law firms and court-related businesses near North Main. Attorneys, bail bonds, title companies and process servers compete for people who are already downtown, or about to be. The site has to say plainly that you’re close, which courts you work in, and how to reach you.
  • Restaurants and bars along Macomb Place and Main Street. Downtown has more than 20 bars and restaurants within walking distance of each other, according to the Downtown Development Authority. Diners decide from Google Maps on a phone. Your menu, hours and reservation button need to be one tap away.
  • Contractors and home services in the surrounding neighborhoods. You’re competing with Clinton Township and Sterling Heights companies for the same searches.

Two things about Mount Clemens that change how I build

Does the spelling of the town name really matter?

People spell this town several ways. Mount Clemens, Mt. Clemens, and very often “Mount Clements.” I can see those misspellings in search data for my own site. A good local site connects every version of the name to your business through your Google Business Profile, your page titles and the way other sites list you, without stuffing typos onto the page.

What does a changing downtown mean for who looks you up?

The city’s $5.6 million rebuild of Macomb Place and the Cherry Street Mall is meant to bring more people downtown. Those are new visitors, and most of them have never heard of you. They’ll look you up before they walk in. A slow, outdated site loses them at that moment, and a fast one with clear photos and directions gets them in the door.

Mount Clemens has drawn crowds before. In the late 1800s, drilling for salt turned up mineral water, and Mount Clemens became the “Bath City,” with 23 major hotels and bathhouses drawing visitors from across the country. Today people come for downtown dining, the river and the county buildings, and most of them check their phones before they pick where to go.

  • A homepage that says what you do and that you’re in Mount Clemens, in the first line
  • Click-to-call, a short quote form, and directions with parking notes for downtown visitors
  • A Google Business Profile that matches your site exactly
  • Pages for each service, plus the nearby areas you actually serve, like Clinton Township and Harrison Township
  • Fast pages that work on a phone in a parking lot

I know where Macomb Place is and I know the county, so you don’t have to explain your market to me. Already have a site and need it to rank? See my SEO services for Mount Clemens instead.

How it works

How a website project runs, from the first call to launch

  1. 01

    Discovery

A short questionnaire, then a call about your customers, your competitors and what a good month looks like.

  2. 02

    Design

I design the homepage first. You approve the direction before I build the rest.

  3. 03

    Build and launch

Every page built and tested on real phones. Every old page redirected, so the rankings you have carry over.

  4. 04

    After launch

I stay around for questions and changes. If you want updates handled for you, that is my management plan.

Who you'd work with

The web designer and local SEO consultant you'll actually talk to

I'm Ryan York, and WebPossible is a one-person web design and SEO company in Harrison Township, Macomb County. I learned the work as a scuba diver in the Florida Keys, tired of waiting on the person who ran our website, which is why I think about the phone ringing first and the design second. There's no team to hand you off to. The person who answers your first call is the person who designs your website, builds it and checks your rankings.

I hired Ryan to help improve the SEO of my business website and he has been so easy to work with from the time I submitted my inquiry through the finishing touches. He is extremely responsive, organized in his approach, and thoughtful in his execution. I had many questions that I threw at Ryan, and he was able to answer them all, which made me feel really good about the entire process. Since the initial work started, I have added on more page updates because I am already seeing positive results. I look forward to continuing to work with Ryan and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to other business owners that I know!

FAQ

Questions from Mount Clemens business owners

How do we work together if you're not in Mount Clemens?

By phone, video call and email. I'm in Harrison Township, about 15 minutes from downtown, so I already know the area your customers come from. You won't need to explain it.

How much does a website cost for a Mount Clemens small business?

My sites start at $2,500. A simple site for a service business sits near that number. More pages, copywriting, booking or online ordering add to it. You get a fixed quote before I start.

Can you help my business show up in Google Maps for Mount Clemens?

Yes. Maps rankings come mostly from your Google Business Profile, and the profile needs a website that backs it up. I set up both so they agree on your name, address, phone number and services.

My office is near the courthouse. Should my website mention that?

If clients come to you because of it, yes. Say which courts you handle cases in, give directions from the Circuit Court on North Main Street, and tell people where to park. Clients driving in from elsewhere in the county look for exactly that.
