Show up where neighbors are looking
The map and the results under it for the searches that bring work: your service plus your town, or “near me.”

Local SEO for Michigan service businesses, done by me from Harrison Township in Macomb County. The goal is more calls from Google Search and Google Maps, and you see what moved every month.
What you get
You’re hiring someone who has done this for other businesses, not read about it. Thirteen SEO contracts on Upwork since 2016, from audits and setups for Eric W. and Nadia C. to ongoing work for Just Digital, Digital Concierge and Kenedy T., plus the local SEO I run for Captain Hook’s in the Florida Keys. The contracts are on my Upwork profile.
The map and the results under it for the searches that bring work: your service plus your town, or “near me.”
Rankings, Maps visibility, calls and form leads in one report, next to what I worked on and what is next.
Month to month, no lock-in. If the work is not paying for itself, you can end it.
From $2,000 per month
The price depends on how many locations and services you have, how much content you need, and how crowded your market is. You get a written, fixed quote after a free consultation. No contract lock-in.
Most of my clients sell to people within a short drive. Picture a roofer in Sterling Heights or a family law firm in Saginaw. Their customers type a service and a town into Google, or just “near me,” and pick from the three businesses in the map and the first few results under it.
Local SEO is the work of getting into that short list and staying there. It has three parts, and they have to agree with each other:
When those three tell the same story, Google trusts it. When your website says one phone number, Yelp says another and your profile lists the wrong category, you lose ground to competitors who cleaned theirs up. My job is to make all three agree, then keep adding the pages, reviews and links that move you up.
Most owners who call me have paid for SEO once already and can’t say what they got. Open whichever of these you’ve been wondering about.
Google says it ranks local results on three things: relevance, distance and prominence. Relevance is whether your profile and site say you do what was searched. Distance is how close you are to the searcher, which you can’t change. Prominence is how well known you are, which comes from reviews, links, mentions and the strength of your site. The work I do targets the two you can move. Nobody can move the third, and anyone who promises a map position in a town you’re not in is guessing.
Rankings for the searches we agreed matter, Maps visibility, calls from the profile and the site, and form leads, all with the previous month beside them. Under that, what I worked on and why, and what’s next. If something went down, it’s in the report with my read on why. You never have to ask what you’re paying for.
Usually not. Most sites can be fixed: titles, page structure, speed, schema and a page for each service and town. Sometimes a site is so slow or so locked into a page builder that patching it costs more than a rebuild, and I’ll tell you if that’s the case before you spend a month on fixes. I won’t sell you a new site to make the SEO easier for me.
A few things only you can do. Add me as a manager on your Google Business Profile. Send photos of real work, real vehicles and real people. Ask happy customers for a review, with a link I give you that makes it one tap. Answer a short list of questions when I write a page, because the details customers care about come from you. That’s most of it.
SEO is month to month because the report should make the case for next month on its own. If it doesn’t, you shouldn’t be locked in while I figure it out. And if you do leave, you keep every page, every listing and every login, since it was all in your name to begin with.
If your customers search a service and a town, this is for you. The work is the same across trades; what changes is which searches matter and how crowded the map is. A few industries where I’ve written up what works:
I’m in Harrison Township, and I work with businesses across Michigan by phone, video and email. Each of these pages covers what’s different about ranking in that market:
Tell me what your business does and where, and you get a written, fixed quote. No contract lock-in.
Get my quoteOr call 586-221-0792If your website is slow or thin, SEO work on top of it is expensive patching. Sometimes the better money is a new website first. If your profile is the main problem and your site is fine, a one-time Google Business Profile optimization may be all you need. And if you only want more pages written, I sell content by the article. If what you want is to show up when customers ask ChatGPT or Google’s AI who to hire, the one-time answer engine optimization job covers the audit and the fixes, and this plan carries the ongoing work. I’ll tell you which one fits, even when it’s the cheaper option. Send me your website address and the main search you want to win, and I’ll tell you where you stand before you spend anything.

How it works
Your site, your profile and the businesses above you, written up in the order I will fix things.
Titles, page structure, speed, schema, redirects, duplicate listings and citation errors.
Service and town pages, articles for what customers search, profile posts, local links and a simple way to ask for reviews.
Rankings, Maps visibility, calls and leads, plus what I did and why.
Why me

Who you'd work with
I'm Ryan York, and WebPossible is a one-person web design and SEO company in Harrison Township, Macomb County. I learned the work as a scuba diver in the Florida Keys, tired of waiting on the person who ran our website, which is why I think about the phone ringing first and the design second. There's no team to hand you off to. The person who answers your first call is the person who designs your website, builds it and checks your rankings.
Reviews
5.0 stars from 30 Google reviews, 5.0 from 5 verified Clutch reviews, and 83 client reviews on Upwork since 2016. The ones below are quoted in full, with the source linked.
I hired Ryan to help improve the SEO of my business website and he has been so easy to work with from the time I submitted my inquiry through the finishing touches. He is extremely responsive, organized in his approach, and thoughtful in his execution. I had many questions that I threw at Ryan, and he was able to answer them all, which made me feel really good about the entire process. Since the initial work started, I have added on more page updates because I am already seeing positive results. I look forward to continuing to work with Ryan and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to other business owners that I know!
I have used Ryan for many years and on many client websites, he has always been responsive, efficient and been great to work with. Working with Ryan York at WebPossible made redesigning our website a great experience. Our acupuncture practice recently needed to update our website, and I wanted to find someone we could communicate with and who would be able to produce quick, professional results within our small budget. And just as importantly, I wanted that person to be able to understand the what we are about so that the website could project that to potential patients. We found the right web designer! Ryan is clear, precise and professional. It amazes me how quickly he was able to create a new website for us and respond to any changes we wanted. And all this without having any face-to-face meetings, and for a great price! We are really happy, and I recommend this company wholeheartedly.
Communication is key, and that's his strong suit.

FAQ
My local SEO starts at $2,000 a month. The price depends on how many locations and services you have, how much content you need, and how crowded your market is. You get a fixed written quote before anything starts.
Your Google Business Profile is the listing that shows in Google Maps. SEO covers the profile plus your website, your reviews and the other sites that mention you. Maps rankings depend on all of it. If you only need the profile cleaned up, that's a one-time $400 job.
No. SEO is month to month, with no lock-in. If it stops paying for itself, you can stop.
No, and be careful with anyone who does. Google decides rankings. What I can promise is the work, a clear plan, and a monthly report that shows what moved and what didn't.
Yes. I work with businesses across Michigan and in other states. Everything runs by phone, video call and email, so distance doesn't change how the work gets done.
