What you get
Your site won’t be my first. Since 2016 I’ve delivered 154 Upwork jobs for more than 100 clients, and 94 of them were WordPress and Divi websites: new builds, redesigns and rebuilds for NewtonX, Keller Williams Realty Consultants, the Institute of Reading Development, the World Food Travel Association, Website HQ and Arlene P., among others. Every one is listed on my Upwork profile.

A written, fixed quote after a free consultation. Sites start at $2,500 and the number does not creep once we agree on it.
I design it, build it, write it and launch it. When you call with a question, you reach the person who made the last change.
From $2,500 one-time
A five-page site for a service business sits near that number. More pages, copywriting, booking or a store add to it. You get a written, fixed quote after a free consultation. No contract lock-in.
A professional therapist website costs about $2,900–$8,700 from a freelancer and $7,250–$20,300 from an agency, according to Project Cost Estimator. A DIY site costs less up front and more of your time. Here’s how the options compare:
| Option | Typical cost | What drives it | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| DIY builder | $19–$99/mo billed annually ($25–$139 month to month) | Plan tier, whether you need payments | Squarespace pricing |
| Therapy website subscription | $78–$299/mo billed annually, plus a $100 setup fee on the two lower plans | HIPAA forms and secure email only on the Flourish plan | Brighter Vision pricing |
| Freelance build | $2,900–$8,700 | Template vs. custom design, number of specialty pages | Project Cost Estimator, therapist (updated July 2026) |
| Agency build | $7,250–$20,300 | Same scope, higher overhead | Project Cost Estimator, therapist |
| HIPAA-compliant form add-on | $300–$800 to set up | Forms that collect client health information | Project Cost Estimator, therapist |
| Ongoing running costs | $30–$150/mo | Hosting, tools, maintenance | Project Cost Estimator, therapist |
Project Cost Estimator says its numbers come from more than 600 project quotes and rate benchmarks. Treat every range here as a starting point for your own quotes.
Specialty pages. A solo practice with one “services” page is cheap to build and hard to find. People search for “anxiety therapist near me” or “couples counseling,” so each specialty you want to be found for needs its own page. In my projects, that’s the biggest lever on price.
A clinician directory. Group practices need a page per clinician with specialties, insurance and whether they’re taking new clients. That’s more design, more writing and more pages to keep current.
Copywriting. Therapy copy has to be warm without being vague, and it has to answer what a nervous first-time client wants to know: who you help, what a first session is like, what it costs, and whether you take their insurance. If I write it, that’s part of the quote.
Scheduling and telehealth. Most practices already pay for a practice platform. SimplePractice, for example, lists plans from $49 to $99 a month on its pricing page. I link the site to that platform so you aren’t paying twice for scheduling.
This is general information, not legal advice. Talk to your compliance advisor or attorney about your own practice.
Forms are where most risk sits. A plain website contact form usually emails submissions in the clear. If a form asks about symptoms, history or insurance, it should run through a provider that signs a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) and encrypts what clients send. Two published examples:
Tracking scripts need care too. In June 2024 a federal court in Texas vacated part of HHS’s guidance that had restricted tracking tools capturing visitor IP addresses on public pages of health providers’ websites. HHS dropped its appeal on August 29, 2024, according to the American Hospital Association. That ruling was about public pages. Client portals and booking flows are a separate question, so I keep ad pixels off them unless your advisor says otherwise.
My usual approach is to keep the website itself light on client data. Contact goes through a BAA-covered form, and anything clinical happens in your practice platform.
A nervous first-time client is comparing three or four practices on a phone, usually at night. The site that gets the call answers their questions before they have to ask: who you help, what a first session is like, whether you take their insurance, what it costs, and how to book without a phone call. A soft color palette on a page that says “we offer a safe space” doesn’t do that.
The other lever is search. “Anxiety therapist” or “couples counseling” plus your town is a different search from “therapist,” and each one you want to be found for needs its own page that reads like you wrote it. Pair that with a Google Business Profile that lists the same specialties and the same address, so the map result and the website back each other up.
The specialties you want more of, and any you’re closing to new clients. Which insurance panels you’re on. Your practice platform and whether you want booking on the site or a link to the portal. For a group practice, a short bio, photo, specialties and availability for each clinician, plus who keeps that list current after launch. A photo of you and the office, or a date for a shoot, because clients want to see the room they’d sit in. Logins for your domain and your current site. If I write the pages, an hour on the phone about how you talk to clients, and a few hours across the project to review every page before it goes live.
Tell me what your business does and where, and you get a written, fixed quote. No contract lock-in.
Get my quoteOr call 586-221-0792My websites start at $2,500. From my own projects (my estimate, not a survey), a solo practice with a handful of specialty pages sits near that number. A group practice with a clinician directory costs more. You get a fixed written quote after a free consultation, before any work starts.
After launch, website management is $99 a month, month to month, with no lock-in. It covers updates, backups and security, plus small edits like adding a new clinician. You own your domain and your site either way.

How it works
A short questionnaire, then a call about your customers, your competitors and what a good month looks like.
I design the homepage first. You approve the direction before I build the rest.
Every page built and tested on real phones. Every old page redirected, so the rankings you have carry over.
I stay around for questions and changes. If you want updates handled for you, that is my management plan.

Who you'd work with
I'm Ryan York, and WebPossible is a one-person web design and SEO company in Harrison Township, Macomb County. I learned the work as a scuba diver in the Florida Keys, tired of waiting on the person who ran our website, which is why I think about the phone ringing first and the design second. There's no team to hand you off to. The person who answers your first call is the person who designs your website, builds it and checks your rankings.
Reviews
5.0 stars from 30 Google reviews, 5.0 from 5 verified Clutch reviews, and 83 client reviews on Upwork since 2016. 6 of the 13 I quote in full, with the source linked.
I hired Ryan to help improve the SEO of my business website and he has been so easy to work with from the time I submitted my inquiry through the finishing touches. He is extremely responsive, organized in his approach, and thoughtful in his execution. I had many questions that I threw at Ryan, and he was able to answer them all, which made me feel really good about the entire process. Since the initial work started, I have added on more page updates because I am already seeing positive results. I look forward to continuing to work with Ryan and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to other business owners that I know!
Communication is key, and that's his strong suit.

I have used Ryan for many years and on many client websites, he has always been responsive, efficient and been great to work with. With his expertise, he has been able to facilitate creating websites I am proud of, and I have always been able to count on him. I trust him completely and have recommended him to my past clients for ongoing work.
Ryan was a perfect fit. He's my first call if I ever need any help establishing or increasing my online footprint.
Ryan had excellent attention to detail and delivered with quality and speed when necessary.
FAQ
A form that asks only for a name, email and phone number is a low-risk starting point. The problem starts when the form asks about symptoms, diagnoses or insurance. Anything that collects client health information should go through a form service that signs a Business Associate Agreement. Ask your compliance advisor where your line is. This isn't legal advice.
It can be if you never want to touch your site. Brighter Vision's plans run $78 to $299 a month billed annually, and HIPAA forms come only on Flourish, the $299 plan. Three years of Flourish comes to $10,764. My $2,500 starting price plus three years of $99 management comes to $6,064.
More, mostly because of the clinician directory. Each clinician needs a bio page with specialties, insurance and availability, and those pages need to be written well enough to rank. Expect a group site to land well above my $2,500 floor. You get a fixed quote before work starts.
I'd list them, or at least a range and which insurance you take. Clients searching for therapy compare on cost and insurance before they reach out, and a clear fees page cuts down on consult calls that go nowhere.
I connect the site to the practice platform you already use for scheduling and telehealth, so clients book through a system that's built for health records. I don't rebuild those tools inside the website.
